Third release by CHORD. Heavy, ecstatic deep listening electric guitar music. CHORD III draws the listener further into the expansive chasms of sound that were excavated by their first two releases.
CHORD uses amp distortion, feedback, tone shaping, and musical artifacts to craft a viscous universe of ecstatic, immersive textures that reward careful, detail-rich listening.
"...a brutal cascade of sonic artifacts that immerse the listener in a beautiful sea of noisy guitar textures dripping down the walls... slow moving ambient slabs of free-metal." - Peter Thelen, Exposé
"...stop the fruitless search for convention or recognisable meaning – just listen, accept, dissolve, and enter the Eris136199 dreammare…"

The first thing that grabs my ear is the tone of the guitar, laser sharp and perfectly balance. It's a strong basis for a great set of solo improvisations that brings a lot that you don't often get at the table: clever use of volume pedal or tremolo to make the instrument weightless and elusive, exploration of harmonics with a real love for complex tones and textures, and more. This is a player still finding his own unique spaces in this much explored mode. Derek Walmsley
